Catacombs & the Casilina

“Just been on a personal tour of the catacombs under the Casilina. It made me feel pretty sick. There’s a death pit where the rocks are encrusted with thousands of skeletons thrown down after some 3rd century epidemic. Graffiti left behind by German soldiers”
